Called “The tiny little Silver Lake theatre with an enviable reputation,” Moving Arts is dedicated to the production of original works. Founded by Lee Wochner and Julie Briggs in 1992, Moving Arts has produced many world, national, West Coast, and Los Angeles premieres. Moving Arts began as a twenty-two seat venue in the Silver Lake area and became a resident artist company with mainstage productions across the Los Angeles Area, including the eighty-seven seat [Inside] the Ford theatre in the Hollywood Hills. Moving Arts has continuously produced multiple plays and shows each year in a variety of venues, ranging from traditional theatres to parking lots, showing a remarkable versatility and commitment to the craft of theatre.
